This policy explains what personal data Windows Are Forever collects when you request a window quote through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. We keep it deliberately plain. Please read it alongside our cookie policy.

Who we are

Windows Are Forever is an independent editorial and enquiry service for homeowners considering replacement windows. We are not a window manufacturer or installer. When you ask us for a quote, we connect you with a vetted, registered installation partner who can survey your home and price the work. For the personal data you submit through our form, Windows Are Forever is the data controller.

What we collect

When you complete our enquiry form, we collect the details you enter and a small amount of technical information sent automatically by your browser:

• Contact details — your first name, last name, email address and phone number.
• Property location — your postcode, so we can match you to an installer covering your area.
• Homeowner status — whether you own your home, which helps the installer prepare.
• Marketing attribution — the campaign source and any advertising click identifiers (for example UTM values, a Google gclid or a Meta fbclid), the page you first arrived on, your browser’s user-agent string and your IP address. This tells us which advertising or article brought you here so we can measure and improve it.

We do not ask for special-category data, and please do not send us any through the form.

How we contact you, and why

If you submit an enquiry, we or your matched installer will contact you by telephone, and that contact is directly related to the application you made — that is, to discuss the window quote you asked for and to arrange a survey. By submitting the form you agree to be contacted on this basis, in place of a separate consent tick-box. We will not use your details for unrelated marketing.

Sharing your enquiry with an installer

To provide the quote you requested, we may pass qualified enquiries to a matched installation partner so they can contact you directly. That partner uses your details only to prepare and discuss your quote, as an independent controller of the information we pass to them. We do not sell your personal data.

Lawful basis

We process your enquiry to take steps at your request before entering into a contract for a survey and quote, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a quote-matching service and measuring our advertising. Where the law requires consent for certain cookies, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (see our cookie policy).

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted or anonymised, unless we need to keep them longer to meet a legal obligation or to handle a dispute. The marketing-attribution cookies described in our cookie policy expire after 90 days. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.

Keeping your data safe

Your enquiry is submitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and access to it is limited to those who need it to provide the service. Our installation partners are expected to hold your data securely and use it only for your quote.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable form. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
